Databases - Best Language

I was just wondering which mainstream programming language is the best for writing databases. I was looking for one that i'd also be able to program a good front-end with. Any Ideas?

While I am sure you want your questions answered, you need to pick only ONE forum in which to post your question and not many! As of this posting, I have deleted at least two other identical threads that you have posted. This is your only warning! Please DO NOT post the same thread to multiple forums.

Also, DO NOT post questions in the Member Introductions area as that is not the proper place for questions (as clearly pointed out by the sticky thread over there).

What do you mean by best for writing databases ?

Are you trying to create a new database or just interact with database ?

you should also tell us whether your frontend should be able to interact with that database remotely over the web or not ... especially if you need a web-frontend or just a propriatary client application ... should it be platform-independent? ... or do you have a specific target-platform?

kind regards
