Restoring default function keys on a Microsoft keyboard 6000 v2.0

How do I restore a programs default funtion keys? After installing the software for the new keyboard, the only functions I can preform are the ones from the software. I would like to be able to the defaults from Excel while in Excel. Even disabling the key will not allow the program default function to be used......

Mine's an Ergo 4000 V1. On this one there is a key that may be of interest: F Lock[F] at the far end of the F keys. Try hitting that once (indicator light should come on) and let us know how that works out for you.
