Help with a signup thing for my website

Hey there,

I need a HTML code that will check the system (database) if the name you have entered already exists. If it does links to a page that says something like Congratulations, (whatever you have writen in the txt field) is a valid Name. And if it is invalid ( somone has taken the name already ) it either loads new page saying that name already exists, please try a another name. Or on the same page in red letters or something next to the txt fields says "invalid name".

Thx I really need this.

HTML does not do this. You need to learn a server side programming language such as PHP, Perl, C, etc..

Heya, InRealNeed.

JavaScript will not be able to do this; you'll definitely need to write up a PHP script.
