I'm trying to set up a mailmerge with an access file, using Windows Vista and -- I'm not even sure, whatever the newest Office is,
I need to put an If...then command into the Salutation Line. It needs to say Dear (Title) (LastName)
followed by if LastName2 is not blank
I want to enter and (Title2) (LastName2),
else
just enter a comma
When I open up the "Rules" window for If...then, I get a window in which I am supposed to insert the text if the parameters are met. But I can't insert fields in that window, I can type in "and," but then I can't select "insert merge field," and if simply type in << followed by the name of the field, followed by >> , that doesn't work. What do I do?

It's Office 2007 -- just checked.
