US device to Excel

I have a USB RFID reading device that uploads the readings into Excel at 'active cell'. With two of the devices working readings still go from each reader into the same column at active cell. Uses HID on WinXP

I need to be able to tag each entry, from 2 or more devices, with each device ID or port #.

Info can then be manipulated into data base for each device.

Can Excel request the ID and place in column beside each reading ?
