Problem installing Contacts.mdf from Book Developing Web Applications

l am studying one of Microsofts Self Paced training manuals called Developing Web Appplications with Microsoft Visual Basic.Net and Visual C#.Net. In Chapter 5 of the book l am trying to connect to a database from Server
explorer. I have first tried to enter the Contacts database onto my computer andfollowed the appropriate instructions from the companion CD and the
proceedure seemed to be complete but l am unable to connect to the dataabase from the data link box. I ticked Sql Provider and the SQL
server is installed on my computer. l am not sure what is wrong.
Could,anyone help
