parent child tree

I have a two column table of parent and child. There may be multiple parents for a child and vice vrsa. I need to for a tree. How will I write the code?

That will depend, somewhat, on which DB that you are using.
So will the ultamate destination of this thread (So many DB help forums to choose from).
