Build a template in Access or Excel to d/l in Outlook Calendar

Good evening,

I have this idea........
I want (someone) to design a template in Access or Excel (I was told it was these 2) and from which ever program data like date, time, location, and subject could be exported in the Outlook calendar.

First is this possible? Second what do you preceive as my biggest obsticles? Third I would like to make this accessible via my web site?

Thanks for reading and I appreciate anything you all have to say.
