Can you make this question multiple choice? I am having difficulty in understanding what you are looking for here becuase an adiabatic process is one in which there is either an expansion or compression without an appreciable change in the total energy. Thus the temperature increases under compression, or cools if it expands.

You will need to give more information if this is not what you are looking for.

Yes that is right, it is the same adiabatic process but in the context of quantum mechanics instead of thermodynamics.

Correct. Now whoever answered the last question (that would be you Mary) gets to pick the next subject (1-3 words only). Then someone (me or others) who can post the first question gets a gold star, and everyone can answer it!
