MSIE Error when trying to log onto MSN Games

3
I googled an error message and it came up with two posts on your forum and
when I got there it said I needed to register to post my question, I am
not sure whether is this the correct place to post it or not. I did read the FAQ's but did not find them enlightening. The two post that showed up on Google were the same question but with different threads and there was no way to find how if any one has posted a proposed solution, even after I had registered and logged in, I could not navigate anywhere from the question. Anyway, this
is my problem.:

MY wife and I play Bridge on MSN Gaming Zone and I also play hearts from time to time. If I log on through AOL, I have no problem signing in, even
though as I understood it, it uses a modified MSIE Browser. But if I
minimize AOL or complete shut it down and try to log onto MSN Game Zone via MSIE, when I get to the sign-in page I get the following message and
when I click OK , it program, ie the Browser immediately terminates:

MSIE Error when trying to log onto MSN Games

Microsoft Visual C+ + Runtime Library (THIS IS A CAPTION ON THE WINDOW)

Red X runtime Error!

Program: C:\Program Files\InternetExplorer\explore.exe

This application has requesred the Runtime to t erminate
it is an unusal way.

PLease contact the application's support team for more information

( OK )

I am not sure how I am suppose to receive any suggestions that
any of you might have and I am not sure whether or not I should post
my email address in here, so I won't for the time being.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

TIA

I serriously suggest that you never post you email address to any public forum including this one.

There are 'Post Reply' buttons at the bottom of the page you (or anyone else) can use to reply to this thread.

I'm not sure this is in the right forum so I might move it. This forum is really for those people having problems writing computer programs where as you have a problem running a computer program.

If you can remember post the string you Googled and I will try to trake down the threads in question and see if there was any useful reply.

Unfortuneately the problem you are describing sounds quite general and unless you have some programming experience and know how to get extra information about the problem I fear it will be hard to locate the cause.

AOL have a bit of a reputation for not doing things in quite the standard way (which is probably why the use a modified version of MSIE and it sounds like you are getting an interaction problem between AOL and standard MSIE.

Sorry I can't be more positive

Thanks for you Response Banta, But this is the only site within my
MSIE Favorites which I have trouble with and I have probably which I have
Folders within Folders with probably 1600 urls in the Favorites altogether.

Here are the posts and urls I was talking about.

Microsoft Visual C+ Runtime Eror Library

I keep getting a screen that says Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Error messege on Internet Explorer and when I am on AOL searching on web sites. It happens all the time when I am on internet Explorer trying to go into pogo.com games. It shuts me down after the screen appears and I click ok. It also freezes and I have to end task too. Anyone know how to fix? I have been online for 3 hours with technical support and nothing they have shown has worked so far. Thanks. Feel free to email me too.

Banta, Just to let you know, I think I got the problem solved. I had posted
it on anothr Forum and amonth the proposed solutions was the fact that
the problem was probably caused by the Yahoo Tool Bar if per chance
it was installed which it was, but had been disabled. Once removed,
uninstalled, the runtime error disappeared.

I will leave it up to you is you want to delete or move the post.
