How to archive a Specific Logfile

3
We have SAP applications running on DB2 on AIX and Windows. On one of our AIX server, we recently created a symbolic link to our Log directory some thing like
ln -s /db2/NODE0000/SQL0001/SQLOGDIR /db2/QMP/log_dir

This created a symbolic link from the default log directory to a new logdirectory. After that when we stopped and started DB2, all the logs were moved to new log_dir except one. S000019.LOG didnt move to the log_dir and while starting DB2, it hanged for some time and when i checked in the DB2 Diag log, it showed Userexit is waiting to archive log S000019.LOG and couldnot find it. So i manually moved the S000019.LOG from the old log directory (/db2/NODE0000/SQL0001/SQLOGDIR) into the log_dir and then DB2start worked fine and database came up.

But now the problem is i am unable to view the S000019.LOG in the log archive directory.. i.e /db2/QMP/log_archive. All other logs prior to 19 and after that are archived. Now if some disaster happens i think it will be hard to recover the database as the log chain is incomplete in the Log archive directory.

How to resolve this problem? Is it because that i manually moved the S000019.LOG to the log_dir, that Userexit didnt archived that file or is there something else ? Can i archive a single log file at a time? I have listed the history file and below is the part of the output from that--->

Why does the Type and Device in the history log file show P and D for S000019.LOG which is different for other entries.

Will there be any problem with the above situation? Please advice..
Thanks in advance for your kind reply...

Siva
