dual primary keys in coldfusion/sybase db

Anyone familiar with how to go about using a dual primary key combo in coldfusion with a sybase database? I hate auto numbering when it comes to employees because it gets so out of whack so fast with people leaving and new ones coming. I had a lot of luck here last time, so like a bad dream, I am back ;-)
I want to use "firstname lastname" combo but I need to update and insert.
Any ideas?
