Is there a more economical way?

Sure. What you should prepare is Board Band,MSN (or other IM), Webcam, Microphone, earphone, conference presentation, and PowerPoint to Flash converter. Then how to make use of these for Web conference?

Step 1
Prepare the conference presentation (It is often made by PowerPoint).

Step 2
Convert your conference presentation to Flash.

Step 3
Upload the Flash presentation to Web, then others can view your conference presentation via Internet wherever he stays.

Step 4
Notify the people log in MSN (or other IM) and then start your speaking. Others can hear you speech through earphone and view the presentation simultaneously. Also, through Microphone the attendee can air their opinions easily.

Why should I convert the conference presentation to Flash instead of upload the original presentation directly?

Well, here are the benefits. Firstly, Flash can be show normally on any computers. Secondly, the conversion will reduce up to 90% file size, which is ideal for upload. At last, the presentation will show in a Flash player, ideal to control the playback.
