Click and center image relative to stage?

1
Hi everyone,

I'm working on something of a digital tapestry, where by clicking images along the way you can scroll through the length of the story.

The tapestry is long and will only scroll left to right. I've made the long background in Flash and have made the clickable objects in Photoshop while leaving them cut-out and transparent.

I'm hoping to be able to navigate through the tapestry by clicking these objects along the way. Is there any way to center where the mouse has clicked to the center of the stage? Again, the images will only be moving left to right, the height of the tapestry is uniform.

Many thanks in advance!
