general basic bonehead quesitons

Hello, I have some very basic questions that I can't find the answers too, or do I know what categories they would go under. I would greatly appreciate any help anyone could / would give me.
1) Is there any easy ways to change all my bitmap photo's, text, graphics, in my webpage to vectors? (and is that what I want is vectors?) I have one page that is too large to even load, I am unsure if they even are all bitmaps, but that's what it says in the library pannel.
2) Some of my text fields do not re-size when the browser window is decreased and consequently runs off of the page.
Although, I did notice that one of my text fields that was working correctly had anti - aliasing in the text properties. Althugh, I try to make that the same with the other text boxes that I am having problems with and that option is not even available for me to check. It is grayed out, so I can't change these other boxes to see if that is indeed what fixes this problem with the anti aliasing.
THANK YOU!
P.S. I just joined so if you'd like you can directly email me at noemail@nospam

In a word, no. You can't turn a photo into a vectorized image without rotoscoping it and a bunch of other photoshop magic that is beyond me. bitmaps are different I think, but I do belive there is a bit of work there as well. You would be working in Adobe Illustrator to create the vectors not flash.
As far as the illustrations on your web page are concerned, try using the 9-slice scaling feature that fireworks cs3 has. I believe it was created to solve that exact problem. Sorry I can't give your more details than that. Hopefully that points you in the right direction. Also you might want to try downloading some free stock vector images, and keep them until you need them. Crestock photos gives royalty free images away daily to the registered, and sometimes they are vectors.
