Flash on USB pen

I'm starting an application that requires a Flash movie on a USB device. The device will be sent to all new joiners and will contain 8 minutes of intro from the MD and HR Director followed by useful interactive information about the company. I don't want them to have to sit through the 8 minutes everytime they run the presentation. The target PCs may well have no Flash installed so an exe is required. Can a file be saved to the USB device that is checked by the Flash exe on insertion, once the MD/HRD have said their bit, save some info to the file to say that the presentation has been watched so that the next time the USB device is attached, the intro will not be displayed. The company have specifically stated that a skip function is not an option as they want the intro viewed at least once.

Create an autorun file which calls a script. The script launches the intro, and then deletes the autorun file.
