Newbie needs help!

I'm trying to make a button do a couple of things in order. I'd like on release of a button for flash to play afew frames then jump to a different part of the time line, play afew frames and stop. It's for the transitions between the page sections on my site. There is a set of frames that I need played for the outgoing transition, then jump to the desired section and play the intro to that section. From what I've seen it should be possible, but I simply don't have the knowledge to make it work.

You will use the goto() function and the stop() function. The goto()s will fire on the click of a button, and the stop()s will be positioned on the frame that you want to stop on.
