HTML bold text display problem; when imported in XML

P: 2
I have HTML content defined in an external XML file:

<textBody>
First line of text containing some bold words. More text with some bold words and then two line breaks.

Here's some more text with some more bold words in the middle of it. Don't you think there's something strange about the spacing around these bold words? It seems to get worse with each extra appearance of a bold word. Thank you for reading my text.
</textBody>
I am using code to identify when a
tag is present, so it is not treated as an XML node. I'm also using CDATA in some cases, and still have the same problem then (even worse) with letter-spacing.

... and here's a screenshot of the text rendered on screen from the HTML above:

Many thanks for help from anybody!
