How to SHOW/HIDE a dreamweaver layer from a flash button?

I have almost 2 weeks tying to find a solution for this. Please help

-How can you SHOW/HIDE an thml-dreamweaver layer from a flash movie button.

My html layer name is LAYER1, and my FlashMC botton name is FLBOT1

Now, what is the actionscript that im suppouse to place in the flash button?

It's easy. I really don't know why you want to do that.
Anuway... You need to create a javascript function first to do the hiding, something like:

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. function hideLayer(id) {
  2.     var layer = document.getElementById(id);
  3.     layer.style.display = 'none';
  4. }
  5.  
Then, from actionscrpit the best alternative to do that is by using the ExternalInterface (available since flash 8), like this:

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. function hideLayer(id) {
  2.     flash.external.ExternalInterface.call("hideLayer",id);
  3. }
  4. flbot1.onRelease = funtion() {
  5.     hideLayer("Layer1");
  6. }
  7.  
Am assuming that what you call "name" for the div is really it's id, since that's the most sensible.
