Button question (Play)

I can't get a play button to work, using Flash MX 2004. I am used to Flash 8.
I have assigned a hit state and my code reads as follows...

on (release) {
play();
}

I have also tried...
on (release) {
play();
}

Okay, so I got it to work with the code, but I having a problem getting the audio started again after pressing the pause button I created. When I press the play button, only the visuals continue.

I did "stopAllSounds" on my pause button, because it would only pause the visuals.

Please help. I need everything to play and pause at the same time.

Okay, This is what you do. You must create a separate layer. Input the soundfile on that layer. Make the framelength the same length as the song. Just hit [F5] at about frame number 6000. Just set your buttons to play stop and for rewind set to frame one. Further questions? You can reach me at [e-mail]
