Help to get started with basic 3D graphics programming

1
I have never worked with 3D graphics, but I need to make an app. My PC is Linux and doesn't have gfx card, but 10 FPS is acceptable.

The app is simple. It will load a few human models, place them on a floor and make them perform a choreography programmatically. The sequence is not recorded, the app will decide the moves (if a model will lift up the left or right hand, for instance).

The language depends on the graphic engine. Python or Javascript are preferable, but C/++ are also okay if it is easier.

I need two human models (a normal man and a normal woman), but I don't know where to download them. Photorealism and the number of polygons aren't important, but the proportions are important (big head is not good).

Finally, I don't know how the motion data is created and stored. The models have to walk, dance and shake the arms. It doesn't need to be perfect and smooth. I think I have to use Blender to make each motion frame.

Thanks for any help.
