Im copying a file to a flashdisk from a laptop, it only show the file folder, no file inside it. ive tried to show/hide files using folder option and cmd. copy the same file again, same thing happen theres the file folder yet again no files inside it. but i noticed that when i copied the second time, a text box appear for overwriting file, then of course i click yes, so that means theres files inside the file folder? but when i check the properties of file folder it indicates 0 bytes. im using a McAfee antivirus it detects nothing from my flashdrive, i tried to install an AVG, cant do. Another thing, when i copy from the laptop to the flashdisk, you can see the files are in there. then i safely remove it, then i insert it again, view it again, no files! also when i tried to copy a file from another flashdrive to the laptop, i cant copy either. help me on this one please i have so many important files in the laptop.

You have a malware problem on your pc.
Download malwarebytes and run a full scan on your pc.

A nother way is to open the folder (go to folder options) show hidden files. you chood see all your files.

Or you can download Combo fix from bleeping computers.com.
Boot your pc into safemode and scan the pc with combofix
