Open Office - problems with page numbering

P: 1
I am new to Open Office and my problem is I want page numbering to start on the 9th page of my manuscript and then continue throughout but not on the very last page. I wrote a novel and am converting the Open Office file to PDF and then converting that to an ePub format. The last page is the back cover and that is why I don't want a page number for it. The first few pages are the cover design and other pages that are not the actual start of the story and that is why they shouldn't be numbered. I hope that you can help me.

Hi Michael and welcome to bytes.com!

In OpenOffice (and LibreOffice) page numbering is done by using page styles. Rather than writing all of the steps down, I'll just link to this tutorial on the OpenOffice forums. Especially the sections Having pages with or without numbering and Restarting a page number should be helpful in your situation.
