Hi....I am writing a programm in vb.net having folders of 60,000. In a folder 10 file.

When i run my application memory increases upto 678,300K.
I allready used GC and disposed method.. but there is no change in memory used.

You try to increase your System Pagefile memory.

Goto System Properties -> Advanced -> Performance -> settings -> Advance - > Virtual memory -> increase the memory as per you wanted level.

If you are using objects, try releasing the object after each iteration (if possible in your scenario, and re-instantiate for the next iteration).

--Not an expert on vb.net at all, just thinking about object usage.

Basically, it SOUNDS like either 1 of 2 things is happening:
1. Something really large is being opened in memory (within an object apparently)
2. Or else some object is being opeened, and left open too long - and thus gaining in size...

These are just guesses as you did not provide much detail as to fully diagnose the situation.
