Open Office Draw and MS Visio compatibility

P: 6
Hello, everyone. My sister sent me a Visio file but I don't have MS Visio. Now, I'm wondering if OpenOffice Draw can open it. From what I know, that's not the case last year. I'm not sure if there have been developments for that.

Thanks in advance.

Visio 2007 Viewer from M$ will allow you to view visio 2007 and below files but not edit them.

Not OpenOffice, but its successor LibreOffice, in the version 4.0.0 beta1 can open all Visio files: LibreOffice Visio Import Filter: 20 years of drawings opened in your favourite office suite
