AOL Runtime error

1 New Member
I'm not sure if this belongs here or not, but everytime my moms computer tries to access sites, there are random debugging messages saying that there is a Runtime error in the Script that keeps pooping up, but everytime i hit debug, it says that it cannot debug the extension. Heres exactly what it says:

RunTime Error

Line: 44
Error: Object Expected

Debug: Yes or No

I hit yes

heres the other window that pops up

Just-In-Time debugging

An Exception 'RunTime Error' has occured in Script

However, no debuggers are registered that can debug this extension. Unable to JIT debug

So i just click out of both windows. This would be a big deal but it happens 90% of the time you switch the page. This error only happens in AOL and not in anyother internet browser (why she doesn't just use internet explorer I'll never know) and the page still works even with that dumb window, its just annoying the crap out of me because she keeps bitchin to me about it because she is a Computer Tard. Please help me with this crap or at least tell me where to post this THANKS.

I am having the same problem. It is annoying all the time, and sometimes, the site will not respond despite exiting the debigging windows.

Accessing the sites through IE works, but is not an option as AOL is in integral part of my business.

Isn't AOL based on IE?

if it is there should be a option in the options to disable script debugging

There are two settings in AOL.

From the Toolbar:

Settings > Internet (Web) Options > Internet Explorer Settings > Advanced > Scroll down to Browsing > Check Disable script debugging (Internet Explorer) and Disable script debugging (Other).

Hope that works.

I have just upgraded my computer to Windows Vista (from XP), and I now get the same error. I had AOL 9.0 before that and never had any problems. I even get an error about the Just in time debugging if I access the AOL website through internet explorer. And that is a killer b/c I have my mail account through them, and when the error pops up, the whole IE window closes.

Just-in-time debugging is a Java thing, if I'm not mistaken, so It could be that it is a combination of the version of Java Virtual Machine that is on the computer and Windows Vista.

Thanks, Teguz! These incessant script errors had become very irritating and I had already tried disabling the IE script debugging with no success. The trick as you have identified is BOTH kinds of script debuggging must be disabled, then unload & reload AOL, and voila! ... errors are gone. Thx again,

Thanks Teguz,

Not sure why these runtime errors started popping up, but the fix was easy and no need to reinstall or download anything.

THANKS,

Todd

Hello All, I have been trying without luck to get some information on debugging the Runtime Error R6025 - Pure Virtual Function Call. I am working in C++ and have only one class that is derived from an Abstract class, I do not believe that this class object is causing me my problem. Below is that message I have posted before to other groups. Question:

Hello everyone I'm encountering a R6002 Runtime error and several bugs when trying to generate a simple Managed C++ application with .NET 2003. The main problem seems to arise from linking with LIBCMT(D).DLL. (My requirement is that we can't link with MSVCRT(D).LIB.) Below are steps I've followed, and the resulting problems 1. Using the New Project wizard, generate a Visual C++ .NET Class Library project (call it "Doomed") and a VC++...

Hi. I'm just a beginner in ASP.Net. I started writing codes and I keep on getting this Runtime Error page, where it says "Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

I am working on converting a win32 console application from VC6 to VC7. My version is Microsoft Development Environment 2003 version 7.1.3088. The code works fine on VC6. it is a console program for scientific computation, so it has nothing to do with MFC. But it needs some other libraries such as MKL, sparselib, etc. VC7 can build the executable successfully. However, when i run it, there is only one line on the command window:

Hi, I need to convert set of Java classes exported from IBM Modeling environment to C# for implementation. When I invoke JCLA conversion from File->Open->Convert in Visual Studio 2005 it starts just fine parsing file after file but then it breaks on page 7 of JCLA Wizard. The dialog with runtime error is shown that says:

I am trying trap Runtime error 3022 (duplicates) in the click event of a command button that closes the form. I have code in the Form_Error event that does a good job of providing a more meaningful error message than the default. It works in every situation except when the user clicks the close button. I am using Me.Dirty=False to force a save but if there are duplicates I just get the standard Runtime 3022 error message. I am wondering...

Hi Everyone, I'm having this extremely annoying problem with Internet Explorer 6, giving me an error message saying "unknown runtime error" whenever I try to alter the contents of a <divelement using innerHTML. Now, I've researched this problem on the web, and found many references to it, but none of them quite addressed my specific situation, and since my experience with JavaScript is limited, I was not able to adapt the solutions I...

I am getting a Visual studio 2008 IDE application R6034 runtime error. This means that the IDE application is raising the error not the application I am building. This means that Microsoft did not follow its own advice as listed in http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms235560(VS.80).aspx and "build with a manifest". The DLL in question seems to be msvcr8.0.dll which is the VS2005 C runtime DLL. I am not sure why this is an issue in a...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
