Timeout for EXCHANGE between clone and base table

P: 1
Hi,

In my mainframe procedure, one of the steps is doing an EXCHANGE between a clone and base table. But the step fails with time out error (-904), due to resource unavailable. The resource is a package for another program which does select query on the base table used in the proc.

If I restart my job, it run successfully in the failed step. I want to increase the timeout limit for the EXCHANGE process. Is it possible to do this. From IBM manual, I saw "SET CURRENT LOCK TIMEOUT 30" can do this. Is this valid. The EXCHANGE statement is coded in a control card as below.

EXCHANGE DATA BETWEEN TABLE
TRAPIC01 AND TRAPIT01.

Any help on this is appreciated.
