Please try to describe more about your problem.

What is the query supposed to do?

Are you trying to execute DB2 queries from application code like C#, Java, VB.NET, php or something? If so, is the temp variable part of that calling code?

Or is your temp variable part of a DB2 script that you are attempting to write?
