DB2 PREP and BIND one source with several authorization identifiers

Our developers create programs using MF Cobol on linux. Database is DB2 on zOS.
From source to binary we need a three step process: db2 prep, then compile, then db2 bind.
Issue is: the "db2 prep" does a kind of hardcoding of the database name into the cobol source code. Therefore we can not run the binary with an other database without to run again through this three step process.
Question is now:
Is there a way to circumvent this issue?
Means: How should we modify the source code and/or modify the "db2 prep" resp. "db2 bind" commandlines?

Any hints would be appreciated.
With best regards
