Requirement - Database Architect - State of Oregon - 6 months

Hope you are doing well !!!!

One of our clients is looking to augment their team with “Database
Architect – DB2" please find below the details and respond with
updated resume and contact details if interested.

Title : Database Architect – DB2.

Location : Salem, State of Oregon

Duration : 6 Months+

Requirements
-7+ years of database development experience, including DB2 / UDB ver.
8 and above
-5+ years of SQL programming, including stored procedures.
-7+ years of data modeling experience.
-Experience support DB2 on multiple platforms (AIX, zOS)
-Ability to interact with team members including business owners
-Familiarity and experience with legacy mainframe data systems (VSAM)
helpful.

Skill Set
-Lead data modeling work.
-Create and document logical/physical design.
-Design and implement proof of concept and development prototype work.
-Work with system admins and DRM group to implement database
solutions.
-Creation of database and various objects.
-Write scripts to unload data and automate autoloader scripts.
-Create test cases for benchmark testing.
-Performance tuning was an on going process, tuning queries.
-Support SQL tuning / optimization, DB/DBM parameter tuning, different
levels of memory allocations
-Utilize tools for export, import, load, autoloader and database
snapshots.
-Creating and Monitoring Users, authorities and responsibilities and
password management.
-Backup & Recovering Database, Online database backup, archived redo
log file and offline database backup.
-Tuning the application for the best performance.
-Tuning the Database and the system for the best performance.
-Day-to-day attending to the developer queries in sorting out database
problems.
-SQL Programming -- developing database views and stored procedures.

Data Architect Position:
This role is will have primary responsibility to support development
teams and projects. The role will include work as a data architect
(data modeling, database design), database developer (stored
procedures, SQL development), and database administrator (data
loading, optimization, support, etc). Project support will include: 1)
database design for a series of web-based applications that include
integration with legacy systems, 2) data conversion from legacy
mainframe systems (VSAM) to normalized data in a DB2 environment and
3) planning for a data warehouse effort. This position will be part of
the Self Sufficiency Modernization development team but will also work
under the direction of the existing DHS DB2 operational team.
