Re: Recursive Data and Stored Procedure in DB2

One of the many problems with the adjacency list model is that is
procedural by nature. I would use a nested sets model and avoid all
of this overhead. The non-cyclic constraint is easy, subtrees are
found in one query for any depth, etc.

Get a copy of TREES & HIERARCHIES IN SQL for more details.
