Problem In DB2 First Step / Migration V8 to V9

P: 1
Hi All......

I am working to migrate DB2 V8 to V9 on solaris V10. On my server DB2 V8.1 with fix pack 9 is already running. And i have installed DB2 V9.1 with fix pack 3a on default path /opt/IBM/db2/V9.1. Now i have checked the installation logs, the installation of V9.1 is successful. To confirm it i just want to go with db2 first step but its giving me some errors. I did as follow

> db2fs
couldn't set locale correctly
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: FirstSteps/FSBrowserProfileMessage

> db2jcc -version
IBM DB2 JDBC Universal Driver Architecture 2.6.80

> db2 create database sample
SQL1090C The release number of the precompiled application program or utility is not valid.

MAY be these errors are associated with my migration issues too. Please guys respond me as soon as possible. Thanks in advance.
