Question on DPF implementation

Hi,

I have 2 databases(SampleA and SampleB) fully loaded on server A.
Now, I need to create DPF environment on Server A (Logical partitioning).
Now, if I modify the file db2nodes.cfg as follows,
nodenum hostname logical-port
1 serverA 0
2 serverA 1
3 serverA 2
4 serverA 3

a)
Does that imply node 1 and node 2 point towards the two databases Sample A and Sample B and we have just 2 nodes
left?
b)
Does that mean we have to create one new database or 2 new databases on the DPF environment?

Thanks so much!!!

The time when you have created databases A and B, your system didn't had partitioned. So they will still be under non-DPF environment.

You need to re-create the database once you have the DPF setup.

Hope it answers your question.
