IMS to DB2 Migrations

2
Hi,

Does anyone have any documents for listing the benefits of DB2 over IMS that would help a management team decide to fund the effort?

Thanks,
Guy

We cannot compare IMS and DB2. Both are good at there positions.

I am much familiar with DB2. I would suggest DB2. If would also suggest to consider the support also that you will get with DB2 (not only the price factor).

On top of that, DB2 is a great database (best database that I have ever used). Its very robust and I am 100% sure that it will satisfy you in your business.

Let me know if you need any specific details for DB2.

Thanks & Regards
--- Sanjay
