Editing DB2-Tables with QMF table editor

1
Hello everyone,

sorry for this stupid question (i'm a bit of a novice as fas as QMF is concerned):

How can I insert values into a table (using the QMF Table Editor!), where one Column (DECIMAL 4,0) is DEFAULT and should not be filled with values by the user???

I tried to define the column as follows:
...
GENERATED BY DEFAULT AS IDENTITY
(START WITH 1, INCREMENT BY 1)
...

The QMF table editor always forces me to insert a value although the column is not defined as NOT NULL.
(if the column is defined as ...GENERATED ALWAYS AS IDENTITY... the table editor doesn't even let me enter!)
(As far as I can see, this works only with DATE oder TIME etc. where I'm not forces to insert a value. e.g. ... currentdate DATE DEFAULT ...)

Can anybody help?
