DB2 services won't start - Help!

P: n/a
Greetings all,

Had an existing single domain Win2k server that was demoted when a
Win2k3SBS server was introduced. Upon rejoining the domain as a
member server, we find that the DB2 services won't start. We get a
myriad of errors:

DB2 UDB SQL1042C An unexpected system error has occurred

App log reveals:
VerifyUserRightsForService : A required privilege is not held by the
client.
Followed by:
db2start : SQL1022C There is not enough memory available to process
the command.

I believe that error to be a generic error and likely bogus

System log reveals:
The DB2 - DB2 service terminated with service-specific error
4294966274.

it would appear to be a rights issue but I am not sure how to resolve
short of reinstalling which I am loathe to do given I am likely in
over my head.
