Load failure; SQL0104N

P: 1
Excuted the statement through a SSH connection:

db2 load from <filename.ixf> of ixf messages /database/stage/
acct_news_asc.txt insert into userid.acct_news_asc

And it worked fine.

Ran the same command through perl and received an error:
SQLErr: [IBM][CLI Driver][DB2/LINUXX8664] SQL0104N An unexpected
token "/database/stage/acct_news_asc.txt" was found following
"MESSAGES". Expected tokens may include: "ON". SQLSTATE=42601
(-104)(42601)

Error while executing import on acct_news_asc.

Any suggestions would be helpful...

Hi,

could you post the lines of your perl script which prepare and then do the db2 command? That would help.

Anyway, my first guess is that perl is interpreting something in the db2 command string before giving it to the shell and therefore mixes it up - assuming that you are using something like

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. $output = ` db2 load from ... ` ;
In situations like these I usually do a print " whatever cmd I try to do" instead to see what's left over of my command string after perl ate it.

Regards, Bernd

P.S.: Once you find it and whatever the solution looks like, please post it here. ThanX!!
