start hadr as standby fails with SQL1768N rc=7

Hello list,

I have 2 servers with HADR - it was supposedly working fine until last week, when I was told to do a restore DB and restart HADR following some incident in which I took no part.

I did so, however, the only way I have to restart HADR on the primary node is to use the command with the "by force" clause or I get this:

$ db2 start hadr on database BSI7_C4Q as primary
SQL1768N Unable to start HADR. Reason code = "7".
db2vbs5@hqaca049 /db2/db2vbs5
$

I have tried re-updating the whole configuration of the DB on both sides, and it all seems to have gone fine, however, I am still stuck.

Any ideas please?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
did you check the db2diag.log on standby side? If you found a message like "marked bad", you're needed to restore it again with the most recent backup image. In my case, I could solve that problem with the same day backup image.
Hope it will help you.
