no Info Integrator, so Linked Server in SQLServer2005...

We had Data Joiner, but no II that I can find. So, OK, I'll just
federate the other way round. I can do it to 8.2/UDB, but can't get
workable syntax for z/OS, 8.1. Redbooks, on-line docs, and both email
groups have differing examples for provstr (a bolloxed connection
string); all of which yield sql30081N, 10016. If IIRC, that's in
Cubeland, and I'm not.

And, I assume, that if I can federate UDB <z/OS that the z/OS database
is otherwise properly configured to be Linked Server in SQLServer. Or
is the expecting too much?

Has anyone gotten this to work, and offer it up?
