Error in Roll-Forward due to corruption in Log Files!!

P: 1
Dear Guru's.

I am new to DB2, but in the stand by database i am issuing all forms of rollforward db commands but to no avail as 4 log files have been corrupted. Even the production and backup copy has been corrupted which i beleive is due to human interaction.

Is there any ways i can bypass these 4 logs and then continue with roll-forward recovery? I meant to say if i could get any ways to skip DB2 to check for these 4 log files and then do a recovery, i think i will be through. I am using DB2 V8 and below is the error message.

db2 => rollforward db PRD to end of logs and stop
SQL1268N Roll-forward recovery stopped due to error "35" while retrieving log
file "S0018090.LOG" for database "PRD" on node "0".

Please help and guide me to overcome this issue.

Thanks a ton to all in advance.

Warm Regards,

Anoop

Hi,
Check out for same log in the active log directory . if it is there delete it and continue with roll forward.
The path to active log dirctory can be found through get DB parameters command . it is possible that log in the active log directory may have been corrupted not the archive logs.

Bye !!
