Which table should I use to get table entry

Hi Folks,
I wanted to put check for the existing table. I got the table entry in
two different tables.
1. SYSCAT.TABLES
2. SYSIBM.TABLES

>From above two tables which one should I use to check the condition.

Many Thanks
