Does DB2 support schema acquirement automatically

Hi,

I am new user of DB2.
I would like to see whether DB2 can automatically acquire schema information of other data.
E.g., automatically get the table definitions in an Access database .

just to avoid misunderstandings, please explain what you do need this for. What are you planning to do?

If my guess is right and you want DB2 to import an access.mdb easily, the answer is "no, DB2 can't". But there are ways. If you need to transfer data from M$-Access to DB2, a possible way to do is to access the DB2 database via ODBC, link its tables in the .MDB and to copy the data by "insert into ... select from...".
