updating the locklist

P: 11
Hi,

If i get the error:: SQL0912N
The maximum number of lock requests has been reached for the database.

I need to increase the Database Configuration Parameter, locklist.

Do I need to restart the database after increasing the locklist size?

Rahul,
locklist is configurable online, hence you dont need to re-start the server. But increasing the locklist size may not be the only solution. You should also consider
1> doing frequent commits to release the locks
2> If application integrity requirements are not compromised use Uncommitted
Read to decrease the amount of locking.
