DB2 V8 (mainframe) Install - 'Resource Not Available' Msg

A "resource not available" message for the cursor is generated when testing COBOL application programs under a new V8 instance. Some think it is a security problem (we use Top Secret); some think it could be an SMS issue. Can anyone shed light on this?

Hi Tom,

Can you give a little more background ?

Can you make any connection to DB2 from a cobol program ? Have you made any connection from any programs ?

Is this a batch job, CICS or something else ?

Stupid question but - are the connection parameters correct, you are pointing at the correct DB2 subsystem ?
