Db2admin password

hi all,
The following is the scenario and also the problem description
a. We have a win2k server on which we had installed the DB2 8.1 server. It was running fine.
b. Recently, we installed and uninstalled the ADS on the win2k OS and all the users got deleted (including db2admin).
c. DB2 server is down from then. We tried to recreate the Db2admin id but with a different password as we do not know the old password.
d. The services for DB2 are not starting. the DAS service is started but other DB2 services are failing to start.
e. When i try the DB2 - DB2-0 service, it says it could not start the service please refer to service specific error code -1022.

This is very urgent. Please help!
What needs to be done???

Creating the db2admin user should have worked.
I hope you had backed up your data because the best thing to do here IMO, is to reinstall the DB2.

thanks for the reply... I have a question ... Since the DB2 server is not up, how can I backup the data? I have taken a physical dump of the SQLLIB and the DB2 (data) folder.... Does this help? Coz i have no other way to take the backup ... none of the command line tools are working.. no GUI interface absolutely....
please help!!!
