Storage quantity

Hello all,
Can you please brief me on how does the pri qty and sec qty which is given during the create tablespace statement affect the tablespace.

Will the tablespace once created use the size given in priqty or it is only that that much space is allocated?

When i am doing bulk loads to a table in a tablespace, my load size is more than the priqty or sec qty, how does db2 allocate the tablepsace and what is the size of the tablespace after the load, will the load end in an error?

I am a beginner in db2 admin. i have tried this but i dont knwo what is the operation internally,,,pls someone brief me

thanks in advance

DB2 will allocate the primary quantity and if needed will take extents using the secondary allocation up to a maximum of 119 extents per volume.

Once your table is loaded run a reorg utility to clean up free space and use the stospace utility to update the catalog with the actual amout of spaced being used by the table, then you can adjust your primary and secondary quantities accordingly.
