db2gov - idle....

DB2v8.x - AIX64

what status is considered 'idle' by DB2?

Connect Completed
UOW Waiting

I would think statuses like this would be considered 'idle' and thus
forced off if you have a written rule within the config file.

Here is the entry within my config file:
desc "Allow no UOW to idle for more than an 4 seconds"
setlimit idle 4 action force;

Can someone please clarify for me what's going on?
Thanks,
+CB

Ok.... I found out what the problem was...the DB2 documentation is
really not explaining it all that well, but you need to have the
DFT_MON_UOW turned on for the idle rule to work. The documentation
only specifies turning this on for the uowtime rule only, thus my
confusion.
