z/OS DB2 catalog backup question

DSN810.SDSNSAMP(DSNTIJIC) backs up the DB2 catalog.

Is there an example out there of how to restore it?

Regards,
MVSGuy

First you must restore SYSIBM.SYSCOPY from the bootstrap data set
(BSDS) since it contains information on backups needed for restores.
Then you can restore the other tablespaces used for the catalog. Check
the Adminstration Guide for details. I don't recall if there is a
sample JCL member for this.
