DOS Scripts and/or Task Center Help

9
DB2 9.1 fixpak 2 on Windows

I am trying to set up a task in the task center that will run on a daily basis to check for an "issue". To find this "issue", I run a select statement that brings back a count. If the count is something other than zero, then the "issue" exists.

Is there a way to run a select statement in the task center, and from the results, mark it as either successful (count of zero was returned) or failure (something other than zero returned)?

If not, does anyone have a DOS script that can run a select statement and return values based on the results of the select statement?

I feel like this should be simple, but I just can't put a finger on it.

Thanks in advance for any help,
Dan
