odbc connection string not honoring userid

I have a Windows 2003 Service Pack 2 using IIS connecting through an
ODBC to DB2 v8.1 (Windows 2003 SP2).

DB2 Client version v8.1.11.973

Problem: IIS is not using connection string userid and password.
It's trying to use the iusr_machinename acccount to connect to DB2.

Connection string:

strConn= "driver={IBM DB2 ODBC
DRIVER};DSN=TEST;Database=TEST;HOSTNAME=db2dev.myd omain.com;PROTOCOL=TCPIP;PORT=50000;uid=db2dev
\myuser;pwd=mypass;"

I even tried removing the db2dev\ in uid and it didn't work.

Here's the work around, though can't do it for security reasons.

Create user "myuser" on windows iis server. Create app pool, make
that app pool run as the user "myuser". Add "myuser" to windows db2
server. Grant that user permissions to database.

asp and query then works fine.
